Monique Mills:

All right, you guys.

Monique Mills:

So, you know, I get questions in throughout the week and I answer

Monique Mills:

one or two of them on a podcast now.

Monique Mills:

And this one in particular came in about using.

Monique Mills:

AI copywriting tools.

Monique Mills:

So, you guys may already know about certain tools that are out there,

Monique Mills:

and if you don't know about them, just know that people are using them.

Monique Mills:

And you're reading things that have been generated by the

Monique Mills:

computer and not by an individual.

Monique Mills:

And, one of the tools, I've actually talked about many times where

Monique Mills:

we're an affiliate of it as well.

Monique Mills:

And it's called jasper.ai.

Monique Mills:

Well, this question came in and there, their question was.

Monique Mills:

I've heard that there are great AI copywriting tools, but I've also

Monique Mills:

been warned not to use them to create blog posts and social media polls.

Monique Mills:

Can you tell me some of the reasons why it's not a good idea

Monique Mills:

to use these AI copywriting tools?

Monique Mills:

So here's my answer.

Monique Mills:

On the surface.

Monique Mills:

It seems like a no-brainer to use AI to help you write your

Monique Mills:

social media posts and blog posts.

Monique Mills:

I mean, after all, who doesn't want to save.

Monique Mills:

Time and effort.

Monique Mills:

However, there are some good reasons why you might want to think twice before

Monique Mills:

using AI copywriting tools for your social media accounts and your blog posts.

Monique Mills:

First of all AI, it's still in the early stages.

Monique Mills:

And as such, it's not always accurate.

Monique Mills:

This can be frustrating, especially if you're trying to

Monique Mills:

avoid mistakes and your poles.

Monique Mills:

Secondly using AI can make your.

Monique Mills:

Your pulse sound robotic and impersonal.

Monique Mills:

Okay, so let me stop right there.

Monique Mills:

You guys.

Monique Mills:

I just want you to know that everything that I just said.

Monique Mills:

Was written by a copywriting AI tool.

Monique Mills:

Everything.

Monique Mills:

I just said.

Monique Mills:

So I'm a fan of copywriting tools.

Monique Mills:

That's why I use Jasper AI just to really, use it to get over writer's block.

Monique Mills:

Like I don't use it to write everything, but I certainly know it's a essential

Monique Mills:

tool for getting over writer's block.

Monique Mills:

For different things, right?

Monique Mills:

The weather's writing an email or writing a post or writing a proposal.

Monique Mills:

I mean, all kinds of stuff.

Monique Mills:

Just think about anything you have to type.

Monique Mills:

And, and communicate with someone, or let's say you have to create a video.

Monique Mills:

I want to tell you guys about this other tool.

Monique Mills:

And it's crazy.

Monique Mills:

There's so many of them.

Monique Mills:

But it's in the same family as the AI copywriting tools and is basically AI.

Monique Mills:

Video marketing.

Monique Mills:

And you know how you'll go to, let's say YouTube or let's say you

Monique Mills:

leave and do a training video and here's a person that's talking and.

Monique Mills:

You know, they're on camera and near saying whatever to you.

Monique Mills:

They now have ones that generate it's a real person, but in generates

Monique Mills:

their speech using the same AI.

Monique Mills:

Technology that the copywriting tools use and it's called the technology.

Monique Mills:

Anyone can use.

Monique Mills:

And it's it's paid for by, by the government, the whole research

Monique Mills:

behind it, similar to the internet.

Monique Mills:

And the technology is called G P T dash three.

Monique Mills:

So we call it GPT three.

Monique Mills:

And it's, it's basically an, you know, an algorithm that gets trained.

Monique Mills:

There are so many tools that are being used right now that use this technology.

Monique Mills:

And yeah, there are certainly, pros and cons to using each of them.

Monique Mills:

But I just wanted you guys to see how you can use them, but make

Monique Mills:

sure you insert your own voice.

Monique Mills:

Right.

Monique Mills:

And make sure you're just not copying and pasting.

Monique Mills:

One of the, folks in my network that was concerned about using this AI

Monique Mills:

copywriting, technology is out there said, oh, well, you know, Google.

Monique Mills:

Is going to start a knockdown on any post or anything that they

Monique Mills:

can pick up has been created by using these copyright and tools.

Monique Mills:

And in reality, it can't, I mean, none of it is verbatim.

Monique Mills:

And actually matches something that someone else did like verbatim.

Monique Mills:

There might be bits and pieces, but again, That's why it's important for you

Monique Mills:

to just use it as kind of a foundation to get you out of, you know, writer's

Monique Mills:

block or if you just can't think of how to say something, what to say, you

Monique Mills:

know, just type in, Hey, I want to talk about this and it'll literally

Monique Mills:

spit out everything you need to say.

Monique Mills:

And then you can just be like, ah, I don't like this, or I

Monique Mills:

would say this differently.

Monique Mills:

I would say that differently.

Monique Mills:

And I would add this.

Monique Mills:

I would add that you see none of this has meant to be an exact recipe.

Monique Mills:

I mean, even with recipes who follows them, you know, piece by piece.

Monique Mills:

Who follows them piece by piece.

Monique Mills:

You always add a little bit more salt, sugar, you know, oregano,

Monique Mills:

and that wasn't on the list.

Monique Mills:

This is the same thing with these tools.

Monique Mills:

Like people have to stop making it seem as if like it's.

Monique Mills:

It's literal.

Monique Mills:

Like, you know, you put stuff in here and then you just copy

Monique Mills:

and paste it there, you have it.

Monique Mills:

You have a blog post.

Monique Mills:

No.

Monique Mills:

I mean, what type of creativity, what type of, boys is it?

Monique Mills:

If it's just created by your computer and it's not, you, you know, we're in the

Monique Mills:

days where authenticity matters and people want to know who they're doing business

Monique Mills:

with, they want to know how you think about things, how you feel about things.

Monique Mills:

Before they even do business with you and the nickels for brands to not

Monique Mills:

just individuals that are, that are maybe consultants or freelancers or

Monique Mills:

whatever kind of service provider or doctors or accountants, like people

Monique Mills:

just kind of want to know a little bit more about you were in that age where,

Monique Mills:

you know, you may say we're nosier.

Monique Mills:

And then we used to be because we have access to so much more information.

Monique Mills:

So my thing is don't take it literally that these tools.

Monique Mills:

Are meant to replace you.

Monique Mills:

There is no way there is no way.

Monique Mills:

Everyone is an individual.

Monique Mills:

I mean, we even have different DNA, like no DNA is identical.

Monique Mills:

Right?

Monique Mills:

And so it's a, it's the same thing.

Monique Mills:

No one is identical and you want.

Monique Mills:

Your voice and who you are to be reflected in your writing and communication.

Monique Mills:

So I would never suggest that you.

Monique Mills:

Use these tools to totally replace your voice or anything of that nature.

Monique Mills:

But I do say just like with anything else that's meant to help you do

Monique Mills:

things quicker, faster, easier.

Monique Mills:

It's a tool.

Monique Mills:

It's not a replacement.

Monique Mills:

Use it.

Monique Mills:

Go ahead, give it a shot and use it.

Monique Mills:

If you'd like to get, for a free 10,000 words to test out the one that.

Monique Mills:

That I use and that I used on you at the beginning of this episode.

Monique Mills:

The one I use is called Jasper AI.

Monique Mills:

So if you go to T P M focus.com.

Monique Mills:

Forward slash Jasper.

Monique Mills:

You'll be able to get the free, sign up.

Monique Mills:

And start using it now, typically it isn't free.

Monique Mills:

Like, it might give you a few hundred words or a thousand words for free.

Monique Mills:

But you get up to 10,000 with my code and yeah, I'll.

Monique Mills:

I'll receive, some type of compensation, but it won't affect you at all.

Monique Mills:

But in order to get that deal, like you have to do it with someone like me, like

Monique Mills:

an affiliate to get that 10,000 words.

Monique Mills:

When I tell you, once you try it, you never go back.

Monique Mills:

Especially if you have to churn out, let's say a book.

Monique Mills:

Like people even use these, these tools for books.

Monique Mills:

Okay.

Monique Mills:

And I know not a lot of people are talking about it, but you

Monique Mills:

know, this is the unpolished MBA.

Monique Mills:

I'd tell you guys what's going on behind the scenes.

Monique Mills:

Especially to my clients.

Monique Mills:

Like it's, it's a few things I tell you guys here, but my clients, I tell

Monique Mills:

them really how the sausage is made.

Monique Mills:

And how these businesses are able to be so efficient, because it's a lot

Monique Mills:

of things that you just don't know.

Monique Mills:

Like you guys don't know what technology is doing on behalf of businesses and

Monique Mills:

making them so much more efficient.

Monique Mills:

And this is just one of those things.

Monique Mills:

It's a tool.

Monique Mills:

So if you go to T P M focus.com.

Monique Mills:

Forward slash Jasper and S J a S P E R.

Monique Mills:

You'll be able to get access to the free 10,000 words.

Monique Mills:

And I promise you, it's going to be like, whoa.

Monique Mills:

So let me give you like a little assignment.

Monique Mills:

Let me think.

Monique Mills:

This is a podcast salicious uses as an, as an example.

Monique Mills:

So you can say I'm this go to Jasper and asked it to write on

Monique Mills:

what are some of the benefits, just literally type this in right.

Monique Mills:

Say.

Monique Mills:

What are some of the benefits of starting a podcast?

Monique Mills:

And it may ask you like the tone of voice you want to use.

Monique Mills:

You can type in Oprah.

Monique Mills:

I want the Oprah tone of voice.

Monique Mills:

You can type in Joe Rogan, tone of voice.

Monique Mills:

You can type in Elon Musk and it will literally write it in a tone

Monique Mills:

that they use when they speak.

Monique Mills:

Okay.

Monique Mills:

So all you have to do is like enter those two pieces of information.

Monique Mills:

Hit select output.

Monique Mills:

And you can tell it to write three different variations, five different

Monique Mills:

variations to give you some examples of things that you could use.

Monique Mills:

Right.

Monique Mills:

And it will spit out paragraphs and paragraphs of why you should

Monique Mills:

create a podcast it will spit out all the information and then

Monique Mills:

you'll look at it like, huh?

Monique Mills:

I never thought about that.

Monique Mills:

It's almost like.

Monique Mills:

An extreme version of Google.

Monique Mills:

You can type in any question and it'll answer it for you and keep elaborating.

Monique Mills:

As long as you wanted to elaborate, it can go on for paragraphs.

Monique Mills:

It can literally write a book on topics.

Monique Mills:

It's pretty amazing.

Monique Mills:

And so to downplay it or be afraid of it, or copywriters is say,

Monique Mills:

oh, no, it was terrible tool.

Monique Mills:

Don't use it.

Monique Mills:

It's all fake.

Monique Mills:

It's not authentic.

Monique Mills:

And you know, you're going to get striked by Google because

Monique Mills:

they can pick up it's an AI tool.

Monique Mills:

Yeah.

Monique Mills:

If you're copying and pasting, it sounds robotic.

Monique Mills:

It's this terrible.

Monique Mills:

But like, it's almost like how people, you sit down, play, you know,

Monique Mills:

buying, Like pre-made meals are doing.

Monique Mills:

Hello, fresh or one of those kinds of things?

Monique Mills:

Yes.

Monique Mills:

A pre-made meal.

Monique Mills:

It doesn't mean I can't season it the way I want to season it.

Monique Mills:

Sure I can go to the grocery store and buy each individual thing.

Monique Mills:

I need, I can buy the meat and I can buy the vegetable and I can buy, you know, all

Monique Mills:

of the separate items, but it comes in a box already together for a family of four.

Monique Mills:

It's just making my life easier.

Monique Mills:

Why wouldn't I buy it?

Monique Mills:

It doesn't make me any less of a homemaker.

Monique Mills:

It doesn't make me any less of a wife, a mother, like it's just making life easier.

Monique Mills:

And let's say, I, my family likes things that spicy.

Monique Mills:

Okay.

Monique Mills:

So.

Monique Mills:

So I can still use my spices and stuff to make it.

Monique Mills:

To our liking, right?

Monique Mills:

It's the same thing.

Monique Mills:

So please don't get discouraged based upon all this nonsense

Monique Mills:

from people who are afraid of, of moving forward in technology now.

Monique Mills:

There are always instances when it comes to AI, how AI tools.

Monique Mills:

And for those of you who don't know AI mean a stands for artificial intelligence.

Monique Mills:

Okay.

Monique Mills:

And there's different variations of, different, Topics within AI.

Monique Mills:

And right now I'm talking about one in specific, but there are several others.

Monique Mills:

That really, yeah, there are pros and cons to all of this stuff and just

Monique Mills:

understand, you know, how you're going to use it or how it will affect you.

Monique Mills:

But I'm telling you right now, this AI tool, and this is, I mean, is one of

Monique Mills:

those things where, I think I became hip to it from someone else in my network.

Monique Mills:

I work with a lot of, tech folks and my network is just full of it.

Monique Mills:

And so we, we share lots of tools and plus, you know, I'm a marketer as well.

Monique Mills:

I have a marketing company.

Monique Mills:

TPN focus.

Monique Mills:

Marketing.

Monique Mills:

And so we use a lot of different things or we help our clients

Monique Mills:

strategize to use certain things.

Monique Mills:

Especially when they're a small business or just a startup.

Monique Mills:

We're in early stages.

Monique Mills:

They can't afford to pay a copywriter, you know, 5,000, 2000 a month or whatever

Monique Mills:

it is, when you can use one of these tools that will save you a ton of time,

Monique Mills:

that may cost, a hundred bucks a month.

Monique Mills:

Like it's a no brainer.

Monique Mills:

Okay.

Monique Mills:

And, and let me tell you right now, a lot of copywriters.

Monique Mills:

That are being paid thousands of dollars.

Monique Mills:

Are already using these tools.

Monique Mills:

They're already using them.

Monique Mills:

And you know, the folks that they, their clients that they

Monique Mills:

work for just don't know.

Monique Mills:

And how do I know that because I'm in a group with a lot of these folks.

Monique Mills:

And near from all over the world.

Monique Mills:

And just know that it doesn't make them any less.

Monique Mills:

Brilliant as copywriters because they still have to do research and

Monique Mills:

have your tone of voice and, you know, be witty and unrelevant, and I

Monique Mills:

mean, it takes a person to do that.

Monique Mills:

These tools are not at that level yet.

Monique Mills:

So copywriters are still worth the money.

Monique Mills:

I'm just saying that.

Monique Mills:

For, companies that maybe, you just don't have it right now or you may

Monique Mills:

have one person on staff or that person on staff responsible for getting

Monique Mills:

your marketing going as part of your revenue engine is actually you and

Monique Mills:

you're not that great of a writer.

Monique Mills:

But maybe you're a great speaker or you're funny, or you're, you know,

Monique Mills:

you, you still have value that can be added into the writing process.

Monique Mills:

But just know that there are tools that you can use.

Monique Mills:

And you shouldn't feel guilty about it.

Monique Mills:

And actually no one cares.

Monique Mills:

Ultimately people want whatever value it is that you're going to provide to them.

Monique Mills:

They don't care how the sausage is made.

Monique Mills:

In fact, all they care about is the value.

Monique Mills:

That they received from it.

Monique Mills:

I always talk about how, and it's not a bad thing per se, but I talk about

Monique Mills:

how just inherently we as humans.

Monique Mills:

Most people are selfish.

Monique Mills:

Very selfish by the way.

Monique Mills:

And in a lot of ways, it's, it's kind of innate because as humans, we have

Monique Mills:

this self preservation kind of instinct.

Monique Mills:

And so I just want you guys to know that, that part of people downplaying

Monique Mills:

things that they think may replace them, or, say , their stuff is better

Monique Mills:

because they wrote it, like let them believe whatever they want to believe.

Monique Mills:

Okay.

Monique Mills:

Because at the end of the day, what would I do as a consultant?

Monique Mills:

And my work every day is I want to make sure all of the businesses

Monique Mills:

that I work with and all the clients I work with earn revenue.

Monique Mills:

And create sustainable businesses and do it ethically.

Monique Mills:

Like they're not out here robbing and stealing and, you know, taking

Monique Mills:

money from people and not delivering.

Monique Mills:

And if.

Monique Mills:

Having a tool that helps them get things done quicker just on the

Monique Mills:

marketing side available to them.

Monique Mills:

There is no way in this world.

Monique Mills:

Anyone should be making them feel guilty about it.

Monique Mills:

And, and I, I understand, like that's a hurdle that some folks have to

Monique Mills:

get over because they feel judged.

Monique Mills:

But get over it, a lot of copywriters are already using this tool.

Monique Mills:

On LinkedIn, probably about maybe all it has to be maybe.

Monique Mills:

Five six months ago.

Monique Mills:

A copywriter reached out to me.

Monique Mills:

I'm a just say, I felt like the evil spirit through.

Monique Mills:

Through the DM.

Monique Mills:

But he was like, Hey, you know, I went to a blog post, like some random blog posts,

Monique Mills:

on your website and it's probably old.

Monique Mills:

You guys know all your first blog posts or old blog posts are literally terrible.

Monique Mills:

I am no different.

Monique Mills:

Some of mine are really good, but some of the early ones, like I

Monique Mills:

had, you know, I had a copywriter.

Monique Mills:

And, some things I wrote in the copywriter re did

Monique Mills:

and those kinds of things.

Monique Mills:

And so, he sent the email saying, oh, I read one of your blog posts.

Monique Mills:

I think I can make it better.

Monique Mills:

You know, this is wrong.

Monique Mills:

That's wrong.

Monique Mills:

Now, mind you, I know my stuff now.

Monique Mills:

Like I know my stuff when it comes to tech and business and.

Monique Mills:

You know, you can't tell me, I don't know my stuff.

Monique Mills:

Maybe there was a comma missing.

Monique Mills:

But, who cares?

Monique Mills:

Right?

Monique Mills:

I'm an engineer.

Monique Mills:

I'm not, you know, an English teacher.

Monique Mills:

So he made like a comment about the grammar or something.

Monique Mills:

I'm like, dude, like, that is not even important to me.

Monique Mills:

I think all my folks care about is getting the information

Monique Mills:

and the information is there.

Monique Mills:

And it's really not the smartest thing to reach out to someone and

Monique Mills:

tell them, Hey, your stuff sucks.

Monique Mills:

You know, well, he doesn't understand the content of course, because

Monique Mills:

he's a copywriter, but to be like, oh, you're missing a comma here,

Monique Mills:

like kind of nitpicking stuff.

Monique Mills:

Don't listen to people and it's telling you, that's the way

Monique Mills:

to go about getting business.

Monique Mills:

So he sent me that email.

Monique Mills:

I mean that DM through LinkedIn.

Monique Mills:

And I was like, oh, you know, Thanks.

Monique Mills:

But you know, I'm actually testing out.

Monique Mills:

This, this new tool.

Monique Mills:

It's not, it wasn't used for that.

Monique Mills:

And I'm testing out this new tool.

Monique Mills:

Have you heard about it?

Monique Mills:

And I'd mentioned, Jasper to him.

Monique Mills:

He's like,

Monique Mills:

Oh, those two suck.

Monique Mills:

And, and you can't replace someone like me now, mind you, I don't even know the guy.

Monique Mills:

You know, he was obviously a bit of a weirdo cause he was personally

Monique Mills:

insulted by saying, Hey, have you ever heard of this tool?

Monique Mills:

You know, I'm thinking of testing it out.

Monique Mills:

And again, it was way before I actually started using it.

Monique Mills:

And this guy went ham and I'm like, dude,

Monique Mills:

This is all the more reason why I liked the tool.

Monique Mills:

I don't have to worry about attitude from it.

Monique Mills:

I don't have to worry about attitude from it.

Monique Mills:

And I know the more we adopt technology and tools and stuff, the less some people

Monique Mills:

feel that we have to deal with each other.

Monique Mills:

Especially when you think about the other end of,

Monique Mills:

Of the spectrum where folks are using virtual reality.

Monique Mills:

And, mixed reality and, you know, headsets for stuff.

Monique Mills:

And, you know, that's all part of AI by the way.

Monique Mills:

And people feel as if AI disconnects us from each other.

Monique Mills:

And I can see how that can happen, but it's times like that where

Monique Mills:

I'm like, oh my gosh, does weirdo just end up in my DM going ham?

Monique Mills:

Because he thinks a tool is going to replace him.

Monique Mills:

Where in reality, the question was, have you ever heard of it before?

Monique Mills:

And he was offended.

Monique Mills:

And, so, you know, as a busy entrepreneur myself, I don't have time

Monique Mills:

to manage some strangers emotions.

Monique Mills:

And, so it just reminded me again of like, it just reminds you

Monique Mills:

of just how people are complex.

Monique Mills:

And if you read any of my posts or listen to several of my episodes I

Monique Mills:

have to bring that up at least once or twice a season, on the unpolished MBA

Monique Mills:

podcast, because people are complex.

Monique Mills:

And so I say all that to say, Tools are not bad.

Monique Mills:

Don't let people guilt you out of it and just understand you don't have to

Monique Mills:

copy and paste and it, and it shouldn't consume your, your entire life.

Monique Mills:

None of these tools should, but they should be able to enhance

Monique Mills:

what you're able to accomplish.

Monique Mills:

And for me.

Monique Mills:

That's more important than what anybody thinks.

Monique Mills:

And I hope that you all.

Monique Mills:

Realize that people are already using it.

Monique Mills:

And if you're choosing not Sudan, Hey, that's on you.

Monique Mills:

But just know that people are being more efficient and able to do more in

Monique Mills:

their business and put more content out and all of that because they're

Monique Mills:

using tools that make it easier.

Monique Mills:

And as a person that, that it's in the tech world comes from the tech world

Monique Mills:

and my whole life revolves around trying to make things easier, in the

Monique Mills:

world and learning about different technologies and tools and stuff that

Monique Mills:

are out now, and that are coming out, that makes life easier for people.

Monique Mills:

I'm an advocate for it.

Monique Mills:

You know, and so.

Monique Mills:

With that said, if you want to test out Jasper, for yourself, just go

Monique Mills:

to TPM focus.com forward slash Jasper.

Monique Mills:

And then from there, you can just go ahead and sign up and see how it works for you.

Monique Mills:

And you know, let me know what you think.

Monique Mills:

I hope you guys have enjoyed this episode.

Monique Mills:

I'm a storyteller and I got so many stories to tell, but

Monique Mills:

this one in particular, Came from someone's questioned.

Monique Mills:

And I decided to actually use the AI to, to answer it.

Monique Mills:

What you think about that?

Monique Mills:

All right.

Monique Mills:

You guys.
